Peanut butter has a wholesome and delicious flavor. It is rich in many vitamins and amino acids. Unfortunately, most peanut butter is heavily processed which may lead to negative health consequences due to repeated roasting and exposure to high temperatures during the process of peanut butter manufacturing. Moreover, non-natural peanut butter may contain large amounts of salt, sugar as well as hydrogenated oils such as palm oil that it may negatively affect your health.

  • 500g raw peanuts, preferably without skin.
  • 1 tbsp groundnut oil .
  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste .

  • Directions:
  • Heat the oven to 180C. Roast the nuts for about 10-20 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  • Whiz in a blender to coarse crumbs.
  • With the motor running, add the oil, then whiz again.
  • Add the salt, honey and any flavorings, and spoon into a jar or storage container.
